Steve is a Director for Hegsons Design Consultancy Ltd and has over 40 years of experience undertaking multi-disciplinary projects for public authorities and private sector companies, in Commercial, Retail, Leisure and Residential Areas. and is a Member of the Transport Planning Society.

Steve has extensive experience in leading and managing small and large complex schemes, undertaking project management roles, master planning, transport planning, flood sudies, work place travel plans, school travel plan, change management plans, travel behaviour studies, environmental studies, civil engineering design, highway safety audits, traffic audits, traffic management, appeals, public inquires and expert witness.

He has extensive national and international experience in town centre regeneration, education, residential, retail, health, leisure and commercial environments. Steve has been Project Director for Hotel at Winnersh, Hilton Hotel Reading, the Felixstowe Local Transport Strategy, Silverstone Masterplan, the Travel planning and relocation programme for Oxfordshire County Councils ‘Better Office Programme’ and the Cirencester Town Centre traffic, movement and regeneration study. In addition to numerous projects across the UK and Ireland he has international experience on projects such as the Arkopolis Mixed-use development in Sofia Bulgaria and the transport and movement strategy for the ‘Coliseum Centre’ mixed use development in Bucharest Romania.

Ken is a Director of Hegsons Design Consultancy Ltd and has over 20 years’ local and overseas experience covering the areas of civil & environmental engineering, traffic engineering, transport and development planning. Ken is a Chartered Member of Institution of Engineers of Ireland and a member of the Institution of Highways & Transportation.

Ken has undertaken various transportation and development planning studies, principally in the areas of sustainable transport, travel plans, transport assessments, transport feasibility studies, traffic engineering, transport modelling and economic appraisal, bus priority and cycle route design, environmental studies, expert witness on transport issues and civil and structural engineering studies. He has excellent management, communication and presentational skills refined through working on multi-disciplinary team based projects.

He has led on various transport, development and master planning studies in Ireland, the UK and overseas, including National Transport Authorities Smarter Travel Programme,the Oxfordshire County Council Change Management Study, Southwest Guildford ITB (Influencing Travel Behaviours) Study, Frogmoor Development High Wycombe UK, Travelodge Winnerish Reading UK , Respond Housing Association Residential Developments Ireland, Cambridge County Councils' School Transport Assessment Studies, Swords Shopping Centre Dublin, Limerick Bus Priority Scheme, Felixstowe Local Transport Strategy, Brisbane Football Stadium Development Australia, transport and movement strategy for the ‘Coliseum Centre’ in Bucharest Romania and transport and development planning for the Arkopolis Development, a large mixed used development in Sofia Bulgaria.
